Competition is a familiar part of the American way. In the midst of the competition hearts throb, pulses race, and emotions run raw. In short, the process of reaching the end of the game is what we're really there for!
The end of any competition results in disappointment for some, and jubilation for others. But we all go home AMERICANS!
Today, with Mitt Romney's noble offer to unite the party in a time of war, WE HAVE A LEADER.
I think it is incumbent on all conservatives to put the competition behind and to unite behind our nominee.
I think it is incumbent on Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul to disengage. The game is over!
Any further fighting among Republicans needlessly draws energy, money, and time away from the real battle, the fight to defeat the Democratic nominee. We must do everything we can to prevent our great nation from slipping further into socialism and technological and military weakness.
I still think Dr. Romney is much better prepared to take on the Democrats and be leader of the free world. But McCain's our nominee. I now think that if McCain would make Romney his running mate very soon it would be a party uniter and a winning ticket in November.
I'm not going to start fighting valiantly for John McCain. But I am going to continue fighting for the conservative values and principles that I believe are the strength of America. And right now John McCain is walking the best path we have to reach the goal of maintaining those strengths.
Unite the party, fight for AMERICA!
